How to Run Your $SRX Node

0. Prerequisites

VPS: We use Contabo VPS XL or VPS 1400
$SRX ($XDC) address to receive rewards (XinPay or D’Cent wallet)
3'500 $SRX coins (buy on Bitrue)
0.1 $XDC for fees

1. Buy a VPS

Minimum Requisites:

Disk space: 1 TB
Bandwith monthly: 10 TB
Speed: 25 MBPS (200 Mbps)

Go to Contabo: https://contabo.com/en/storage-vps/

Buy VPS 1400 ($16.99 monthly) or VPS XL ($34.99 monthly)

You will receive an email after a few hours with your VPS installed.

2. Copy your VPS Information (email):

IP address
Password

3. Run your Node with PuTTY

Download and open PuTTY. Paste IP address and click Open. Login as root

Paste your password.

Note: Paste on PuTTY with Right Mouse Button

**Note:** Password will NOT be shown on PuTTY. It is invisible.

Instructions to run your node are on StorX Github. (Keep reading. We will copy the Method 1)

This is the text to copy + paste on PuTTY:

sudo su -c "bash <(wget -qO- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StorXNetwork/StorX-Node/main/bootstrap.sh)" root

Then paste $XDC address for rewards (it’s OK if wallet has 0 $SRX now)

You will see “Done” (green letters).

4. Get Your 3'500 $SRX Ready

Now you need 3'500 $SRX on your XinPay or DCent wallet. Buy on Bitrue. You also need 0.1 $XDC for paying fees.

**Note:** Remember to choose XinFin **MainNet** top left corner!

Note: You can Add new Token $SRX to XinPay:
- Address: xdc5d5f074837f5d4618b3916ba74de1bf9662a3fed
- SRX
- 18 decimals

Note: With XinPay you can have multiple wallets (accounts) if you want 2+ nodes: click the top-right User icon 👤, then click Create Account.

5. STAKE

Open farmer.storx.io/staking

Approve to stake 3'500 $SRX on your node (+ 0.01 $XDC fees)

**Note:** initially it was 1000 SRX per node. This number goes up until 5000 SRX after 4000 nodes

Troubleshooting: if XinPay wallet is not connecting on Chrome, click the top-right puzzle icon, then click Manage extensions and disable Metamask.

Wait a few HOURS until your reputation goes from “NOT A STAKER” to a number higher than 10.

When reputation is higher than 10… Stake!

Staked must turn to “TRUE” in green.
